The Air Travel - Greener by Design project is led by an executive and advisory group representing a range of organisations, companies and research groups.
To address the numerous challenges faced in further improving the environmental performance of the global air transport industry, the advisory panel has initiated the formation of focused sub-groups.
The sub-group specialisms are:
The members of the Science and Technology Sub-Group worked together between July 2004 to March 2005 to produce the report Mitigating the environmental impact of aviation: Opportunities and priorities. The Sub-Group has not re-convened since completing work on the report, which was published in July 2005.
